Who said honesty is the best policy?
I am trying to re-enter the workforce - after caring for my mother who has end-stage Dementia for the past two years. I decided to be honest with potential employers - and where is it getting me - nowhere. My mother is dying - and I can't get a job because I chose to be there for her. Is there any compassion left in this world - or is this the way it is? I have a good resume - have been doing administrative work since 1990 - but being that I had to take some time for my mother - and trying to be honest about it - is not helping. Maybe I should lie? Seems to work better!

Its truly up to you! But God said honesty is the best policy! I comprehend your dilemma , yet dont think being honest doesn't get u anywhere. Please don't.... God has a true plan for YOU! U will be tested to see if u believe in his plan! If u dont believe in god then that answers my response somewhat. Glass door .com for administrative positions. Maybe u can try another career since you've taken care of your mom? Care.com to work with families. Doordash. Com to deliver groceries if u have a car until u get what u want. Pray to god and ask for greater faith! Read your Bible and get into a true Bible believing church! If you aren't a true believer in god I do understand. I will be praying for u! Just please don't giveup on honesty!
