What experience do I need to be hired as a Truck Driver?

If thinking of becoming a trucker my advice Maintain Good Health there's DMV LAWS for trucker's, 2nd Get some Training, Try in maintain Clean or Good Driving Record also Experience after your training 3months to 1yr+
Experience would be first on the list with local and road driving, did you ever yard jockey . What kind of Tractor and trailer did you drive. Tell me how you would DOT your vehicle before leaving the yard.
Oh and a good driving record (no moving violations etc.)
It's a plus to have a CDL with a A&B endorsement. Some companies will help with training to achieve the endorsement that they will be hiring for. It's also helpful to be able to pass a DOT physical in the event you would be crossing state lines or going to be driving more than 50 miles from your home terminal. That may differ from state to state. The more endorsements the better.

All you need is to pass a cdl test with a state tester. They have schools which I went to for 4 weeks. Basically training you to pass the exam. If you get your CDL, you do not need expeeience. They will recruit you along with countless other trucking companies. Then stay for a year or two over the road, then take a job that you are home everyday. They pay decent. I had union job, pension, benefits roughly about 80,000 + per year. Hope that helps!
The most dangerous thing you can do is try driving a truck with no experience take a CDL training course pay for it yourself do not let a company send you through a course not only will they overcharge you but you will be obligated to stay sometimes for up to 2 years get training do your homework on companies and choose wisely.
