Desperate
I’m a single mother of two. I have a class B CDL license and I am currently driving a school bus. However, I cannot support my family on this I would definitely love to get a job with the local Pepsi distributor. I have also worked at factories in the past and did very well. The area I live in just does not offer competitive wages and I desperately need a job that pays well. Not trying to be rich just want to be able to support my family. My husband lost his life in the service and iours has not been the same since. I feel like a failure I desperately need help. I have management experience as well. I owned and operated a day care / preschool for 13 years prior to his death. I could imagine a job with UPS, Pepsi,etc. only because they are both close to me and good companies to work for. What can I do??? I live in Batesville IN
Teresa, www.2020census.gov is currently hiring for temporary clerks and census takers. They are hiring 500,000 people nationwide. Also if you are able to work from home they have Williams Sonoma that is always hiring customer service reps from home. Enterprise Rent a Car is another one that will hire workers from home. TeleTech is based out of Georgia and they hire for customer service, however, they are very strict about the type of equipment to have to work with for them. There is also Medscribe if you have any medical transcription abilities. Transcribe is another medical company that works for Dr's. Sis Teresa you should pray and ask God to guide and lead you sometimes starting over when a love ones has gone to be with the Lord its very difficult because you had support. I believe that if you would ask God for Guidance and Direction he will show you.He will speak to you directly or thru someone. Sometimes relocating is Good because you have more Opportunity for a Career there are some Company's that will pay for all your Expenses to relocate i have friends who had that Opportunity and i believe that u can do it. Your Resume is Awesome and if i had a Business i would hire you and if you were out of my State i would pay for you to Relocate i Believe you can do it because your heart is to take care of your Family and that's a Blessing and i will praying for you

Teresa Gibbs There are a few things you can do to help you during your job search. First of all, have someone look at your current resume. Companies are using ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) to sort through all the resumes for the best possible candidates. The ATS look for key words in your resume to push you to the top of the potential candidate list. Also, it is very important to have a professional cover letter. 25% of companies prefer an individual to have a cover letter when applying for a job. Do not let this overwhelm you! There are plenty of professional people on here to help you get started. I have had my resumes professionally written but I let those who are in the HR field look over it and give me suggestions.
