What if you have NO EXPERIENCE!!!!!!

Hi my name is Yasmine and I am 17. I'm looking for a job in retail, fast food, or babysitting, but I never had a job. And everytime I do a job interview I never get it because I have no experience.

Hi Yamine, Most of the job recommended from other members allow walk-in applicants via employment kiosks or paper applications in the office areas. If possible, apply in person and ask to speak to the manager about job openings. If you go, make sure to wear something nice and have a brief statement prepared about your desire and enthusiasm to work. Focus on making a good impression when you meet the manager. Good Luck!

Hi Yamine,

I agree with Alyssa, your local grocery stores and movie theaters are great places to look. I would also add that you are only 17 and I don't think you should be expected to have much experience. I think the main thing is to find someone looking for entry level candidates who are eager to learn pick up new skills. Best of luck!

Hey Yamine, No worries! There are definitely jobs out there that hire people with no experience. I would take a look at your local grocery stores and movie theaters, as these places typically hire teens who are looking for their first job.

Also, if you have any volunteer experience, definitely let them know about that! Even though it wasn't paid, it's still a good learning experience for you, and they want to know that. Hope this helps!!
