
Laid off
I got a job at an assisted living facility this was a new facility and only had two patients .every time the schedule was to be posted I had to call or text the administrator for it one week I would have a very good schedule then the following week I would hardly even be on the schedule. Finally when I complained about it saying that I was a full time employee and by law I was supposed to be getting 32 hrs I was taken off the schedule and told due to funding that they were having to lay off workers mot fire them but lay off and they hoped in a couple of months to call us back to work!! This was a text mesg that I saved and not only that I'm the only one told this everyone else is still working is there anything I can do because I honestly feel I was taken off schedule in retaliation for complaining and stating the law!!!
I would not say because you complain that is the reasoning you got laid off. However, it probably did make them aware of bigger issues they may have and realizing they can not sustain that many people in that facility.
