In need of some guidance
I am a USPS mail carrier and wanting to switch careers/ relocation to Tampa FL. I recently applied to a company that has paid training for CDL job afterwards and they rejected my application but I’m not certain as to why, it didn’t have a reason l(told by the recruiter after he stated he thought everything was good so he isn’t sure as to why either) so I got told to write them a letter to get further details (wrote the letter today currently waiting to see why). Do any of you know where I can get my CDL through a company and what could cause them to reject my application? I have 1 ticket 2 years ago going less than 10mph over. My only accident in 4+ years was a hit and run with a witness, (I wasn’t the hitter or the runner), would these get me a rejection?

Accident=liability yes this is a show stopper. Tickets = not paying attention. Another show stopper. The normal is, 1 accident

Contact SCHNEIDER National.

Depends on the company, they may already have drivers with high points or bad records, those kind of things are factored on a group based. Kind of like a grading curve. The company may be needing to hire boy scouts to average out the bad drivers.

Maybe insurance companies are tight on things like that

If you weren't the hitter or the runner, why is it your accident?

Oohhh hit and run not good

I would recommend going with Roehl. They'll pay you while you're getting your cdl. Training is top notch. They'll send you on the road with a trainer for 3 weeks after that. You will be. Well prepared to drive on your own. They'll pay you a competitive wage. You'll owe them 120,000 miles. Then you're free and clear.

Don t do the company paid tuition way, most of the companies are like vampires, the horrible stories are true. I paid for my own, then I had a lot more flexibility as to who to go with. If you choose company tuition reinmbursement you will be contracted for a year (or longer),if you leave prior to the term of the loan, then you will be responsible for either the whole or the remainder of the loan, companies do different contracts. Not all companies are vampires,so you may find a decent company, keep two things in mind: School and company recruiters lie,you are dollars to them, do a thorough research of the companies you may be interested, don t go with what the recruiter says.
if u are driving for usps for someone or urself delivering mail u might want to reconsider.ur probly making as much or more than u will driving a truck.about the rejection, whats ur credit history like? whats ur employment history like? that company might be saying why does this idiot want to change jobs when he has a good job already?if he wants to leave that job he sure wont stay here long.
