Uber vs Lyft
So I think I posted this a week or two ago but I'm between jobs and was thinking about Uber or Lyft. Does anyone know which would be the better company to work for? I'm still applying for other jobs in the meantime but was considering this as a gig position. Please let me know what you think; have been working fulltime til recently. Knew someone a few years ago that worked for Uber and I know that it's a 1099 position. Thank you in advance for your replies!

In my experience I would say Lyft! Ive never had a bad experience with them. They are very professional and the rides are always clean and friendly. I hope this advice helps!

My wife does Lyft from Cartersville, GA to Atlanta. If you are near the Atlanta area. You should be able to make some decent money at night & on the weekends.

Hey William Story III , thanks for sharing this question in the community. I commute back and forth in the Boston area with rideshares all the time.
All of the drivers I talk to work for both companies Lyft and UBER. They switch back and forth depending on the volume of rides available, surcharge potential on rides and their rating with the company.
The companies don't restrict drivers from working for both services and there is no competitor restrictions that i'm aware of.
Drivers boast about the exceptional driver customer service with Lyft but claim UBER offers drivers a higher surcharge and bonus potential.
Personally, as a passenger, I use Lyft. The drivers are friendlier and the vehicles are in better condition. Hope this helps!
