Interviews
How do I gracefully put a stop to being asked inappropriate questions during an interview? Not sexual questions, but personal questions they aren't allowed to ask. I feel like I have to answer or definitely not get the job.

I think the very personal questions are unavoidable. You could either tell them whatever they want to hear or just leave midway through the interview.

I was asked the other day what my husband did for a living. I have been asked what church I go to. Also about kids, ages, exact plan of how pick up and drop off would go.

Most of those type of questions such as "Are you planning to get married or have a baby?" are 100% illegal! I would politely say I would prefer to focus on questions that are focused around the company if we may. Keep it light and non-defensive and if it persists I would definitely excuse myself. Let them know respectfully you feel uncomfortable answering such questions hopefully they will respect that.
