Has anyone been asked

Question for you all. Has anyone been asked about their time in High School and what year did you graduate during a face to face. I have had some tell me this is against the law. And yes I am over 40

It's not against the law for them to ask what year you graduated but it is against the law for them to use your age against you

Not during a face-to-face but on the applications on here it does ask that

Not against the law to ask the question. It's against the law to use your age as a hiring factor (with certain exceptions). If they are simply asking how you liked high school then there's really nothing wrong. I may ask that if someone went to the same high school or college that I attended.

I'm pretty sure that is illegal. You can just ask how that is relevant to the position.
