What should I do???
So DOT pulls me over and the guy has a real attitude. He asks me if I know why he pulled me over. I honestly didn’t. I told him I had no clue. He says I must be stupid because I was speeding. I tell him that can’t be right. I knew I wasn’t speeding. Of course no point in arguing with him, but I swear I wasn’t speeding! Now this is likely going to cost me my job because no one is going to want to hire someone who has a ticket on their record. What the heck am I going to do now? I feel like I got so screwed here!! Please help!

Go to court and talk to the D.A., they will probably reduce it!

You can fight it. Get a lawyer and get the computer report of how fast you where going. It can be gotten threw the people net or Qualcomm if a company driver. Most company’s will give you that information. If your hooked to a computer that way then they truck can go to a shop and have the black box on it check to tell you. Cause all it takes is someone to come up by you speeding and a cop will pull the rig for speeding due to it cost us more than it does the one in a car

YOU CAN'T WIN... There are as many DOTers who give speeding tickets to those not speeding as there are blonde Chinese. The FACT is, if you would have been apologetic FROM THE MOMENT OF INTERACTION, your ticket may have been a warning.

Their not going to fire you for one speeding ticket, I just got one 2 weeks ago, it's been 20 year's since my last one. But if you know you weren't speeding, take it to Court and fight it. I got a ticket for following to close about 15 year's ago, went to court and won, there was also another truck driver for speeding and he also won his case. I had a friend that rear ended a car in Nashville rush hour, he drove from Wisconsin to fight the case. When the judge found out he drove to fight his case he let him off the charge.

Most companies won't fire you for one Ticket, and most companies WILL hire you with only 1 ticket, in a certain amount of years.---- just don't get another.

If tickets would keep you from getting a job I would have had quit a long time ago one ticket won't hurt your score

If you sure you wasn't speeding then what I would do is I would get a court date there's two ways to get around a ticket when you ask her to court date it's usually set up for 30 days later and a lot of times they are so overwhelmed with the tickets did they have written if they do not show up in court they automatically fill it out if you can pull up your GPS speed from your ELD or your GPS or from your phone at the time that you were pulled over and prove that you were not speeding and prove it to the court your company GPS should have showed the time to place and how fast the truck was traveling as the time of being pulled over at information and if you have the correct information ask for a court date and go into court most places that pull you over will tell you because you are a truck driver just two send your money in or you can go to one of the place is called the traffic Clinic the deals with nothing but traffic infractions and they will sign you a lawyer for a fee and they will take care of going to court and everything for you

Did he show you how fast you were going on his radar? If not then fight the ticket.

You still can get you a good job you got to keep putting in the work
Speeding tickets are common, especially in some states, you'll be fine. I once got a ticket for "parking too close to the interstate" in LA at the Hammond scale while it was closed. They just want your money.
