Administrative Assistant

I have worked in different jobs other than Administrative Assistant. What should I do with my resume to point out my varied work experience?

I did everything too. From selling aircraft to working in a non for profit organization. I contacted a reputable staffing company that was local. They took the time to sit with me go over what I was looking to do next asked what my bottom line was financially and they geared my resume to match what I was looking for next. It didn't cost me a thing and they put me on 50% of the interviews I went on. I found several on my own using the resume they provided me.

Great question, Gregory!

It's awesome that you have a diverse work history; however, you don't want to add every job that you've had, as that can create a very long resume (plus, it might work against you by de-emphasizing your strongest skills and work experience).

Go through your work history and select two or three other main jobs you've had (besides your admin assistant job). Make sure that these jobs highlight the strongest skills you have, so potential employers get a better sense of why you'd be a great fit for that company.

Ideally, keep your resume to a page length, so it's in your best interest to only highlight a few main jobs, rather than every singe job you've had.

Best of luck!
