It's hard to feel judged by people especially when you feel like they don't have the full story about who you really are. Sometimes we don't always look as good on paper as we know we can be in a workplace, which is why I always recommend people who feel that way about their past work with recruiters who can speak to your strengths directly to hiring managers.

They might be able to talk about your experience in a more convincing way or to speak about your "faults" in a way that more accurately represents the reality of your past. They can also be great career coaches and motivators to have around for those moments, like pre-interview jitters, where you could really use a helping hand. When you've got a recruiter on your side, it's like having a hype-man for your job search, and it can really help you to get your foot in the door at companies that might otherwise overlook you.
