
How would you handle someone who was loud an blowing off steam
Working as an receptionist, there were at times clients who expected to see their case worker would often blow up toward the desk person. All the while that person, asked them to calm down and walk outside an come back in to start the conversation again. Some said thanks they felt better by doing so, we didn't raise our voices when they were going off. But redirected them , to help them clear their heads and start over.

Actually I’d probably let them vent as long as it’s not in front of a client or a patient and if their not being aggressive or vulgar. No ones perfect and we have our days some more than others.i would also talk to them if it’s a constant thing in private or with another comworker you trust for certain purposes to let them know how you feel And come up with a better form of venting . I know what you mean because I had a grocery manager hime at Mililani times and he was a cocky was asshole and I told my store director but he never do anything and my store director plays favortisem over there

The correct answer is that upper management should have fired the abusive supervisor's stupid ass long ago, but he had a pal that was higher up and protected him.. This is one of the major problems in Amerika today.. Scumbags like my boss getting promoted and being drunk with power..

I would probably get fired but I would ask him to take a short break and gather himself before he over reacted and did something he didnt mean to say or do.

What is your response if it were the boss blowing off steam and calling everybody zipperheads and stupid. lazy and douche baggy?

I am the receptionist.. and desk person.. asking others to walk out and start over???? I would ask them... the problem.. and to wait...

Ask clarifying questions to find out what the real underlying issue is and then assist the caller with a solution
