Help, I'm being bullied!!

What do you do when the highest-level person in the company is bullying you? The boss constantly talks about what a failure I am, and how it's amazing I get my work done with how stupid I am. We don't have HR either, so I can't report him. I really need advice, please help

Comfront him while secretly recording the conversation. He can not leagly fire you because you comforted him about it. The recording will not hold up in court unless he has first hand knowledge of you recording but it will sure make him think about what a jerk he's been. If his boss don't handle the situation the. I would take it to court. It's obvious your not dumb and can handle your job or you would have never been hired. Comfront your bully. Don't be a bully but don't stand there quietly and be bullied. Stay strong

Don't listen to your boss. Your not a failure and if he can't see it. Oh well other people do :)

I suffered under a bully with high credentials for a decade and it made my life miserable. I was fired from my own company and after 3 years the company went out of business because they didn't follow my ideas and directions. $16 million lost by investors, my life work permanently belongs to others until the patents expire. The hell of it is that I accomplished the technical challenge of cleaning up surface water while earning a profit. I did get a small 7 figure buyout, but i was forced to sell at 1/30th of the stock value. Identify the bullying in a clam way and tell them your not going to accept the abuse. Good Luck!

In retrospect, I should have stopped it at the start. Don't put up with being bullied from anyone. In Orlando there is a personal injury attorney that is asking for cases like ours. I wish I would have pursued that.

If you don't have HR, then I'd say it's time to look for something new. You're not gonna be able to change his personality and eventually that's gonna really run you down. You need a better working environment.
