Funding Nonprofits

I’d like to start a nonprofit but I’m unsure how to go about searching and applying for a grant. Does anyone have any experience with this process?

That's really cool - what is the purpose of the non-profit you are starting?

Congrats on your journey! It takes a lot of courage to start a business, let alone a nonprofit. For starter, go to your city website and usually they will have a section for businesses. There you can find resources on how to start a business and apply to grants.

I wish you well!

Hi Katherine, Your new venture sounds exciting.. what sort of nonprofit are you creating? As for getting started... I would take a look at this website as it provides several different resources towards achieving your nonprofit goals (Grants, laws, etc.) http://www.nonprofitexpert.com/federal-grants/ Hopefully this will be a good step in doing initial research to get your application ready to apply for a grant. Good luck!
