Tickets

Does anyone know if... during a background check, if tickets show up that have not been to court yet? ( I have not been convicted of anything, just concerned that I may need to tell the hiring manager).

I am retired Law Enforcement at a military base and it depends whether the ticket was that weekend or had time to be put in the system. The best check is paying State Police for the background check to be able to get a sense of, honesty. You don't want to hire a person that doesn't share upfront.

No, tickets are traffic violation no criminal act. Only misdemeanor ,or felonies criminal charges will appear on your background , now remember it doesn't have to be an conviction if you were arrested without charges being drop, it will show up on your background check .

No, MV do not show on standard background searches. Generally when having a background investigation done for DOT, DOC, or other state jobs your driving record will be viewed but tickets that have not been adjudicated will not show.

Do a search on yourself....usually you can find these things out for free.

I agree with Al. You should be all set as along as you don't have any felonies in the past 7 years. That is typically what comes up on the background checks.
