Two jobs at a young age
At the age of 18 I lost both my parents and had to take full custody of my two younger sisters. I was currently working two jobs one at cvs pharmacy as a supervisor and the other one as a seasonal retail associate for the Miami heat. Unfortunately, I lost my cvs job because my store closed down and the company couldn't transfer me to another one. Therefore, the Miami heat one is currently paying the bills but the downfall is heat season is almost over and I won't have a job until about October when the season starts again. It's been about 3 months now that I been currently looking for a jon and all I keep getting is job interview after job interview I wait about 3 days before I follow up but tell me that they are still reviewing my application and never get back to me. What should I do ? Any jobs recommendations? Or tips ?
Anna, that is amazing you have done that. I'm sorry you've lost your parents, but you are a special girl for taking care of your sisters. I do have a question - do you send thank you notes after your interviews? It is such a nice gesture that many do not do, and so can help you stand out to employers.
As far as jobs go, you could probably look at just about anything - restaurants, retail stores, hotels, receptionist jobs. I think those could all be good options. I wish you the best of luck!
