Cover Letter Success
I completed my certified nursing assistant program and passed the state testing to get my certification. Now I’m starting to look for a cna job but I’m having a hard time finding one because everyone hiring wants applicants with previous cna experience. I do have over 10 of retail and office support experience on my resume. How can I write an introduction or cover letter to successfully demonstrate to hospital administrators that my previous experience combined with my recent cna classroom training makes me a good fit for an entry level job?

I passed my state test in March 2016 and was hired in 2 weeks. I am from Wisconsin. I find that Nursing homes have no problems with hiring new CNA's but hospital's usually require 6 months experience. I didn't even submit a cover letter. I also had great references and a personal reference from my instructor who taught the class.

emphasize "people skills". It makes no difference if you are a welder or a concert violinist, if you have people skills you well excel.

O.K.. lets get this problem solved real quick want to? first of all it is called an entry position for a reason, experience, is like cookies to an employer, you can't have enough. so what we do is offer them something sweeter, ( not cake ) enthusiasm, I Want this job, because I care about people more so than most! I am willing to prove my self as I take care of my patients needs.(they come first) even before your boss, YOUR patient. o.k. now cover letter sells you hard, all your attributes that you can think of without sounding over board.thoughtful, caring, all that stuff. do not!!! re say what information is on your resume'. Cover is for you to sell your self. put you in their mind where they can't get you out!.so you say with CONFIDENCE I am the one for this job,no need to look further!! DO NOT BE AFRAID MY NEW FRIEND! good luck.

I know there are lots of CNA jobs here in Florida where I live and every where else

Start off by going to a temporary service. They will have jobs depending on what you're looking for (hours, days and time matters). And if anything else try rehabilitation centers. CNA is a great choice! Good luck

Have you thought about volunteering to possibly get some hands on experience. I know it doesn't pay cash money but might pay dividends to ward your future career.

You need to have your resume rewritten to show items used in your past that will help you in the medical field. Plus any awards, training experience,. Would also help if you could get some of your instructors to write you a reference. Get some help with your resume and cover lettet

Volunteer a few hours in a hospital to get your foot in the door. Network and find out the ones in charge and let them know about you.
As far as the cover letter, Start with an intro of who you are. Middle of what you have done, and end with what you can do for a company.
