I am so lonely

How does everyone here deal with being away from your families? My husband is gone so much out on long hauls that I feel like our kids are growing up without him. I know he is out there making money for us, but it's fricken HARD being a truck driver's wife. Most of the time I feel like a single parent.

Well you will have to deal with it. Find some volunteer work . If you have a a computer work from home. Once your husband gets establish and a 2-3 years of experience he can get trucking jobs in the city closer to you where he is not a long hauler. Then he can come home. Plus making good money. It is hard to be alone but have faith. Be blessed your husband is providing you with a home. And working. There are always good times and some bad in any marriage. And like dawn said find a good Jesus loving church. They have a lot for moms and children count your blessings.

That's a difficult situation to be in and my heart goes out to you! You might try to find a good church that can give you some spiritual and emotional support. I'll be praying for you!

Well after 35 years trucking I have to say you are there is a lot of hardship in trucking and being away is the worst my youngest is driving for the same co I work for as a day cab wish he would have chosen a different career I missed most of there life and regret it been married 34 years now and was very tough being away so much but we weathered it and got through you can to just remember he's out there 4 you and the family not because he wants to but because has to best of luck and God bless
