How can I get this job?
I’m really interested in a job at Target. I already tried filling out an application but the problem is that I don’t have any previous work experience. I have worked in several volunteer roles for both local and national organizations but I’m not sure how to add these job experiences on my resume. I tried attaching a doc I prepared listing all of my volunteer experience but there isn’t an area on the online application where I can include that document along with my resume. Can I complete a paper application at the store? Do you think I can still get a job with only volunteer experience? I really want to show them that I’m serious about getting this job.
Danielle, I think you should add all your back ground work even if you need to add it on different documents. I think you will do fine and get the job.

Just sell yourself any chance you get on the resume and absolutely present your volunteer experience as work experience. They just want to see that you have an established ability to be in a position to be trusted. Those little areas where it asks if ;you have special skills or anything, make sure you stand out and they'll call you back
If you have no prior paying experience then put the volunteer experience on the application in chronological order. Be specific in the Duties section, be sure to include everything you did e.g., interacted with people from diverse backgrounds or any public interaction you had. Target is a customer service based organization that wants people with community interaction experience. If you were given specific projects during those times list them and any accomplishments.
look for another job that accepts your experience, maybe you'll find something better and more fun, I have not heard of the job your applying for is that new?
Go to the cover letter and complete this process there. I'm sure it will work
