Corporate Counsel

I have been contacted by a outplacement firm in Livonia, MI, which considers themselves a marketing firm. They told me that they would market me like a commodity and reach the 82% of jobs not published on the internet. The concern is that what a $3000 fee upfront. Am I right to be overly skeptical?

Hi Rod, great question. I agree with Mariah 100%. There is NO REASON a legit job opportunity would require you to pay $3000. This is definitely not a good opportunity. I recommend you cut all ties with them, do not contact them further, and look elsewhere for work!

YES. Never pay upfront fees for a job. That's a HUGE red flag for a scam. Run - don't walk - away from this "job" offer!
