For me it was the unwillingness of upper management to support making necessary change to help business grow. A change in District Manager was made for the location I was assigned. About a week after he was assigned to the location, he had a meeting with me. In the meeting, the DM asked what needed to be done to get things headed in the right direction. As I began answering his question, the DM told me "he didn't want to hear it, and change needed to happen". From that point the DM never gave any support to help improve the restaurant. When he came to the location, he would sit at a table on his computer. He would not help if the restaurant was busy. It was not a pleasant situation. After I had left, the same changes I said needed to be made started to be implemented. The DM was eventually terminated.
