Good work environment
I liked most of the parts of working for KFC. Management was understanding but strict and we were usually understaffed so we all had to learn how to do everything from taking and filling orders to running the drivethru or cleaning your station, the dining area and the floors. The best part are the people you work with you develop a real bond since your working long crazy shifts together and by the end ull have some good stories about crazy customers to tell your friends. If you work long enough shifts you also get free food and drinks so thats a good perk too

But it also taught you to work under pressure in a fast paced working environment

I agree I still hang out with friends I made at KFC its really a good place to find other people and you get to know them pretty well

Hey thanks for the information.. when you applied, did you do it online or did you go into the restaurant and ask for an application?

yeah management is tough but I've talked to people that had great managers and it really makes a difference in how the employees enjoy working.. cuz ya feel like a team and not like one boss and a bunch of underlings

Bahira Napoleon thanks for sharing your experience working at KFC. I too find that coworkers can be the greatest part of working a customer-facing role.. they're your support when you have a particular difficult person that seems impossible to please. Management is usually always strict but that's because they have to deal with people endlessly calling out and not working up to par.
Yes, being cross-trained is beneficial for a number of reasons but most importantly when you have to stand in the gap due to staff shortage!
