Truck Driver at Express Professional

Well I came from a small town in alabama. I joined not looking at the money. I came from a single mother family house hold. The united states army me in many ways. I got a chance to leave alabama, the army trained me broke me down and build me over again. Send me to school a.i.t great Mos 92yankee. I got to travel Germany, Hungary, Spain, Amsterdam, iraq wow i couldn't imagine in a million years, me going to those places. Ok 2nd Mos 88mike truck driver. I would say the pay is better as an officer. But if you join be wise watch your surroundings you are your own friend ok a battle buddy is cool just keep it on the job as well. Your family is not your family when you join cause you left them keep it like that make your money save your money cause one day you will get out. A cilivan military job is also a great route to go. So get your self in order before you make a decision benefits are great the pay is good cause I came from a poor family I was not looking to get rich the military help me put my mom in a mobile home and it is paid for now. Plus now I've used my va loan I'm in a house as a disable veteran ptsd and t.b.i I was hit by an i.e.d. in iraq it's not bad I'm alive don't look at this as a trouble time I see it as I serviced my county and many people don't care my mom, 2 sisters and my wife, kids turned on me. cause I helped them out and now in can't. But I made it out as a disable veteran 100% permitent and total. I have my two hands and feet still. They made me stronger cause I helped someone who couldn't help them self now I'm helping me this is my reward for looking up not down. Look up the army song learn it believe it walk it understand it you will love the army. Army of one.

The officer route would be the best paying jobs. No matter what you choose to do it’s a life changing experience

I suggest you go talk to a recruiter first. They do pay well depending on your qualifications.

not necessarily the officer route. I served as an Enlisted soldier, two of my grandsons have and two nephews. It depends on what you seek. Many MOS jobs (that's the Army's term meaning Military Occupational Specialty) are geared towards Enlisted Personnel. The pay is lower than an officer's, but, for example, my oldest grandson will be able to retire at the age of 42 with a guaranteed monthly income of over $3000 and can still get a job (depending on his speciality ) paying as much. You can get much more info by talking to a Recruiter (which my grandson is)

If you go to your local recruiting station they will show you your plan vs the Army's plan.

All depends how discipline you are with your finances.

The defnition of "well" is relative to your financial needs, but if you are thinking about getting rich? No, you won't get rich working for the Army alone. You have to invest in something that will bring you addtional income (time permitting if you are active duty) or do business with the Army as a contractor. This means ETSing and going into business full time. Working as a federal GS employee can lead to a six-figure income if that is the type of "well" you are talking about. Also, if you are looking to make the Army a career, look at the current pay scale. it will tell you how long you need to serve, and at what rank, to make the kind of money you want to make with the Army. Hope this helps......

I always tell people to go to school and come in with a degree 📜 I came in with college credits but it’s nice to see the structure of the enlisted and become the officer of know the whole picture… you are now more knowledgeable about what you and everyone else have to do. Plus the money is worth more of the headache 🤕 you will endure.

The army is a ground level start but if you choose the right MOS(occupation) you can be rewarded with a high paying job when you leave the service just a few years later along with free college
