Unemployment sucks
So I lost my job in March and have been interviewing actually had 4 job interviews and two were with the outsourced company I worked for (Swisspost solutions) didn’t get either cause both managers hired there friends for the position. The other interview I waited four weeks only to here they went with another person, had two interview with a company this week via phone and video call. I just pray I get something soon, my son graduates in June and prom is in three weeks.

I’m in the same position as you are. I’ve been unemployed for 3 months now and I’ve put in over 200 applications and been to multiple interviews and employment agencies and still no work. I have bills to pay and my unemployment will run out in a month. I need HELP!

Took me three years, a lot of alterations to my resume (adding stuff, taking away) to many third and fourth interviews, a lot of waiting, a few filler jobs, too many friends and family before people qualified for the position, but in the end I got a job with amazing pay, okay insurance, fantastic hours and above average peers
So yea, it takes time and you have to know what your willing to accept and what your not. I worked at two fast food places just to have some income but never stopped searching for my office job. It took a lot of pride swallowing

I keep searching I'm going to same position ever since I got onto these are local job finders oh they keep sending you is Job searches but they don't help you set up interviews I'm about to delete all of them and go straight to the source to the company myself

This would be a good time to explore turning a hobbies you enjoy in to a career. Good Luck.

Where do you live? Do you have Export shipping experience?

It has been 20 years since I had to interview for a job. Yikes how things have changed since then, and not for the better. Time to get resourceful. Look at working from home, i.e., stuffing envelopes, doing market research on line, etc. Also, for now concentrate on agencies that are heavy into temp or contract work. Great way to get your foot in the door of a potential employer. Plus, they tend to pay more per hour since contract work does not offer benefits or PTO. My last contract job paid $40 per hour--I was doing cartwheels!!!!!! Good luck.

U got a car drive for uber or lyft it is fast money on your schedule

Nice interview!

All the best buddy! Don't lose faith in yourself and self - esteem^^
I truly understand how you both feel. I was laid-off in late February. I was with my former employer for 30 years and seven months. I was the jack of all trades. I'm in my late fifties and searching for a job isn't what it used to be. Job hunting is not fair to folks over fifty.
