Lost my job b/c I do not have a copy (lost orignal) of my naturalization paper which is needed to renew my license
government has copy with social security number
Hi MatthewmI'm a CDL BIG RIG 18 WHEELER driver and I am a O/ O (owner operator ) and a trainer for the company I work for Matthew you need to do these steps in order before you start applying for a new job. (1) Get you license updated with all of your endorsement. (2) Get your DOT physical card updated if not already done so. (3) Google trucking companies and go on there website and apply that way . Do these first before you start applying because the requieters or safety managers will be calling you with in the first couple of hours if not sending you email's first. Check out G&F Trucking. If you were in PA there are a lot of companies looking for drivers with CDL credentials. You may have tried already but can you order a copy of your documents online? Good luck to you!
Matthew i'm sorry you lost your job but knowing that you always need to put important papers away in a safe or safe deposit box , to avoid things like this from happening. I had a cold and steady work for 15 yes. 2 yes ago I had a stroke while driving and very thankful I got it pulled over without causing an accident. I lost my old due to that and now am also looking for work. I've had a pacemaker for 8 yes and that's fine but now with my age, 57 and health history about all I can find is temp work. Its tough but haven't given up hope yet
Get a union job yrc is hireing it's a good job if you can make it through the first couple of years
