Taco Bell Hung me Out To Dry

I'm 18, still a senior in highschool. My parents sheltered me (my mom) and would never allow me to get a job before i became 18. I would go to school and come back home. Taco bell was my first job. My mom left my family and i needed a job to support my dad. I had the interview. Went through. I met amazing workers. Lovely people. I had a location change, closer to home. Hours were really late, but i worked hard. I volunteered to help. Worked for people's shifts. Got on the recognition board and everything. I was exhausted going to bed at 1 waking up at 5 to walk to school. But i stayed dedicated and kept a positive attitude. But slowly each week i was given less hours. Until i had one day that week. And i was laid off. I truly felt like i was accepted as a person in taco bell but i guess not. Now it's a bunch 30 year olds.

That's crazy they didn't appreciate your hard work and dedication so when your work efforts you should be able to receive another job and if you can go to college pick an skill that can show your hard work

Seanna, that shouldn’t have happened to you like that. You did prove that if you can survive working long hours for not much pay, you can do anything! Please utilize that experience to get your next better job.

Hi Seanna! It sounds like you were giving it your all. Did you mention to anyone that this was upsetting you? They may not have known and assumed you wanted less hours! Don't be afraid to speak up and talk to your manager.
