Searching for a job...
Hello everyone. This is a ADVIce for anyone whom may be struggling to find a job as their career or just a random job. I, myself, we're working at Rite Aid in 2013. On July 2016, (almost 2 and 1/2 years of working there, as a cashier) got fired, due to "violating rite aid policy". I know for myself, and everyone else, I've never been late to work, or called out. I've never STEAL anything. I'm always going to work, do what I have to do and leave. So, on July 22nd, 2016 at 1030am, I got called to the office and my boss told me that I'm fired (along with his boss, and others), simply because I supposedly "stole" something. I was stocked to death. I've never do something like that. I felt like it was a threatened, because he's Arabic or he didn't like me or someone just set me up. Anyways, after that, it was hard for me to search a job. Everyday, I seat on my bed or sofa, went on to indeed.com and went on to search the job, whether it was Retail, Medical Office Assistant, or Office Assistant. As days goes by, times goes by, months goes by, been going to interviews, 1-3 times a months, all I kept hearing was "we will send your resume to Human Resources, and they'll contact you within 2 weeks or 2-3 days." I kept hearing it a lot often. Nothing happened. I really wanted to give up on it. But I said you know what, let me keep on doing what I have to do. Maybe, I can asked a friend and see if their job are hiring. So, on Feb 6th, I told a friend and see if his job is hiring, his job was working in a Supermarket, in the meat department. I kind of didn't want to work there, but I needed money. I sent my resume to the store mangers' boss and he called me the next day & set up an interview for me on Feb 8th. I went. The store manager gave me an application to filled out. I did it. He said bring it back next day, around the same time. I did. He said "congrats, you're hired". I was super excited. The manager gave me about 4-5 pages to filled out (because it's unions paper, bank papers, etc). He told me to dropped the paper before 5 (because he's leaving). So, I said okay, no problem. I went home, so happy and dancing because I have the job, as a cashier. I went back and dropped my papers off and he made photocopied of my I.D and social, and checked my papers and said great!. Then told me, come in on Saturday (11th) at 11am.
I thankfully god and everyone who had helped me, and stood by my side through the rough times.
So, enough of me, lol. If anyone looking for a job, just keep searching.. don't stop. It may be hard, but at least look for a job that quit isn't near your career, and have a little bit experience of something. Or asked a friend/family member who can helped you. I know how it feel, and know the struggle. Just keep your eyes open and do a good search on jobs.
Thanks! Have a great evening everyone!

Fantastic story and advice, Jessica!! Thank you so much for sharing with the community!
I’m paraphrasing here but there’s a popular quote by C.S. Lewis that say something like “you never truly own something unless you give it away.” Thank you so much for sharing how you were able to overcome the trial and tribulations of suffering a job loss and persevering to find another job. Best of luck at your new job and thanks again for the words of encouragement! God Bless
