What should I ask?
I read somewhere on here that I should prepare questions to ask the hiring manager. I'm competing with other applicants for a retail stocker position this week. They told me to read all the information about the position on the job description. What would be some good questions I can ask the hiring manager? This is going to be my first summer job ever so I want to make a good impression to get hired.

Scott, congratulations on your interview. When you are asked if you have any questions the interviewer is making sure that there is nothing unexplained or omitted. Sometimes the question arises during the interview. I usually make a note to myself if that happens. I also come prepared with questions specific to me however I almost always ask the interviewer about their own background with the company and I usually ask why the position is available. Both questions will give you an idea of the company culture and your prospects with them should you decide that this company is your life goal. I hope this helps.

3 questions
1: what does a typical work day look like
2: what are the hours like?
3: what do you look for in a worker like me

Hi Scott, Ask the manager if there's anything he/she can tell you about the job that isn't in the job description? First job opportunity sounds exciting.. good luck.
Scott, it's always best to research the company you're interviewing with. Perhaps you may want to ask questions regarding their mission statement ( if they have one ) or how many people are employed by the company. Ask if there's opportunity for advancement.......just a couple of things that come to mind. Good luck on your interview!
