BEWARE OF RECRUITERS!
I APPLIED TO A JOB ONLINE VIA LINKEDIN, SNAGAJOB, ETC. I GOT A CALL FROM A RECRUITER FOR POSITION IN MAINTENANCE AT A HOTEL. I THOUGHT IT WAS ODD TO MEET FOR INTERVIEW AT A STARBUCKS ON A SUNDAY. THEY ASSURED ME I WAS THE CANDIDATE FOR THE JOB AND WANTED TO FILL THE POSITION SINCE LAST WEEK. I GOT A CALL LATER THAT EVENING FROM THE RECRUITER TO INTERVIEW WITH THE OWNERS OF THE HOTEL ON MONDAY AT 10AM. I SHOWED UP BUT THEY DIDN'T. I INTERVIEWED WITH THE GM WHICH SHE WAS UNAWARE OF ME MEETING THE OWNERS. I REPORTED THIS TO THE RECRUITER BUT HAVEN'T HEARD BACK FROM THEM WHEN I TEXT OR CALL. SMH!
Thank you that should be against the law I am really glad you shared that as now I will be real careful they should not have things like this online I think they need to do like they use to do.
I feel you a recruiter for Mobious? ??? Told me the same thing and havent heard from hiring co either.....
It s discrimination i m telling you! They try to hide things from you so you don t think that it s that it s discrimination. It is and a lawsuit! Ask any lawyer! They obviously checked you out. They cannot ever judge any man or woman by the color of their skin! We are all human beings no matter what your race is!
Sorry that happen to you , but I never leave home without it. That's just me.

I have known recruiters that will do an initial pre-screening interview outside of their offices. Never on a weekend, though. Judging by my e-mail, it sure seems like a lot of people are out there calling themselves "recruiters", without the real experience, training or contacts...
