Job Opportunities - Getting back in the job market after maternity break

Hi.. Actively looking for jobs in Marketing/Business Administration. I have nearly 3-4years if experience and the job search has not been very productive so far. I need suggestions (as to which sites to look for, what kind of roles to look for) and also your experiences. Though I have had experience in this field I am open to any job opportunity as i m looking for a fresh new start.

Hi Nivedita, Great question! You've got a terrific customer-relationship and analytics background, so it looks like you just need to find the right niche. I would suggest taking an honest look at how you're managing your job search process. At a certain level, job hunting is similar to any kind of sales challenge: figure out who you're targeting, work hard at establishing contact, and be tenacious about pursuing opportunities until you reach your goal.
Use any tools you can, which includes on-line resources like Jobcase, LinkedIn, Indeed, CareerBuilder, etc. Reach out to everyone in your network and ask if you can talk to them for 10 - 15 minutes. Do your research and be prepared for the conversation. During your time with them, get their take on the market, their industry, and make sure to ask if there is anyone they suggest you speak with next. Make sure to send a Thank You note as well. And follow up as much as you can. Remember that you're selling your skillset - figure out what you can bring to their company. How will hiring YOU make THEM more successful? Bring the answer to that question into your conversation, even if it feels a little awkward at first.

I hope that helps!! Let us know how it goes, ok? Best of luck, Marijoy
