My experience with having a customer mad at me I tried to resolve the situation on my own and it didn't work out very well so I had gotten my manager to come with me to calm the customer down and explain through a manager size of the situation and everything turned out fine I recommend that if you have an angry customer don't approach them on your own go to your boss and bring your boss to the situation because nine times out of ten your boss can diffuse the situation a lot better than what you think you can

There are difficult people everywhere especially if you work customer service, just remember that no matter what just treat them with dignity and respect as you listen to them with compassion. Just do your best to serve the customer and don't take it personally, because that is usually the first thing we do as humans is take it personally. You will find it is easy to help the customer resolve their problem if you try to be as empathetic to their situation as you can, just put yourself in the situation they are in......

It kinda depends on why the customer is angry, if they seem angry with you or something you did, definitely get a manager to diffuse it while making yourself scarce. But if they are angry because of something or someone else all you really have to do is find a solution that will satisfy them. Idk what you do for a living but at places i have worked there sometimes isn't a manager to rely on to solve the issue at hand. You just have to listen, apologize, satisfy and thank them with a smile. Trust me it works every time. Just remember to listen to the customer first, sometimes their anger begins to diffuse before you even solve their problem, and nothing is worse than interrupting them even if you already know the solution to their problem, that will only escalate them and make them think you dont care about what they have to say.
