How can you get terminated from a job when what you got terminated for doesn't even exist. I was terminated from a job because the director at that particular time informed me that according to federal law I had to have a 48 hour cooling off period between the two full time jobs are was working. His reasoning was because I work at a juvenile facility overnight shift then I report to my day job at the local corrections facility. He tried to say that I since I was working with juveniles and adults, I had to have a cooling off period according to federal law. This federal law doesn't exist and yet the termination was upheld. I went before the personnel board for a hearing, they made their decision based upon all the information presented. During the hearing, the director didn't even have the documentation of this federal law. He was trying to say at the hearing that the documentation was on its way from Washington D.C. After all was said and done, they made a decision on what should happen as far as my termination. Guess what? To this day, I still don't know the decision they made because they wouldn't let me have the documentation. This termination happened back in 2008 and I still want to know for closure. I'm still trying to figure out a way to get this documentation.
Sucks you were fired for an unreal reason. But since it's been 8 years, wouldn't that mean the ruled in favor of you being terminated?
