Do I trust this?
I am not sure if I should trust this email and possible job lead. I had applied about two weeks ago (possibly longer) for a job that seem legit and is with a nationally known company. But I received an email today stating that I had been selected for an online interview. It is then requested of me to set up a screen name with Gmail and then hangout. I am given an verification code and who to message for an interview time. I have never seen this before and my instinct says that this is odd, especially for such a well known company. Anyone have any words of advice? Thanks!
It's a scam, They will send you a check for materials but the check is bad.

Hi Melanie! That seems really suspicious. The email that you got about setting up an online interview, did it come from a generic email address? Or did it clearly come from the company? If you'd like me to take a look at it I'd be happy to help, you can forward the email to askemily@jobcase.com and I'll give you my opinion! But I'd say my gut reaction is that someone is fraudulently using the company's name in an attempt to scam people.
