Tired of it
Job postings where they want 3-5 years experience for an Entry level position. Translation: "We want someone with experience but we don't want to have to pay for it".

Michael, I read your translation and that's fine. The bottom line is they own the Company and we have to fit the requirements until we can do better.

Absolutely, they will streamline everything to get what they want.

Wish I would have kept track of the comment: your over qualified for this position and interview is over...

I only had 2 years experience and I still got in worked for that company for 9yrs. After awhile I just wanted to try something new. Learn how to sell your experience, come on now! Don't give up keep trying there has to be a place. I have always wanted to work for this one company it took 2yrs before they accepted my application. When that question was asked in my interview of why I wanted to work for their company? I told them I applied for 2 yrs straight and finally I'm here. Yes it takes a good person to show hard work and commitment. But to show and prove it day in and day out takes all your energy. In the end before you and I knew it I was there for 10yrs. I've worked construction for 30yrs now.

It's stuff out there, I've been looking for awhile now. I have 20+ years government contracting and the last 12 managing for a company. Still never good enough. Hang in there it will come to you!

sending you good vibes

send them f**k and look for another, maybe someone offers you less money, but you can find happiness working for them... just don't lose hope..

The other version that is common is offering a higher wage in the advertisement than what is actually offered at the employment interview for the amount of experience described. Stating that the employment pays $25 an hour then offering $13-15 isn't honest in my opinion.

Then why not you change it ..... Yea you know, as they all say is if your tired of something or someone then why Not you make forth the effort and you change it .. !!
I always like the fancy titles (Fruit Artist? Really?) and the page upon page of job duties and "requirements" before you get to the pay rate. Minimum Bachelor Degree (I don't have the degree but believe me I have the years of experience), expert level with Office applications (got it), must be able to rub your tummy and pat your head while singing I Got Rhythm, and be a top level masseuse....oh yeah, we're only paying $9 an hour. I honestly wonder where the hiring managers learned their trade.
