Keep Several Resumes Polished and Ready To Go!

After many years worth of Trial and Error, I finally smartened up and re-wrote my resume, several times. I now have a resume for just about every skill I have that my be job worthy or that some employer my want to hire me for. This is so that my resume is no longer than one to two pages long. Because of my age, I have taken out dates (unless asked for I don't offer them up), and information that may not be pertinent to that particular position. I also have a resume for my entrepreneurial skills and past home-office experience. By having a PDF and a working WORD document of each of these resumes, they are either ready to go right then and there, or can easily be updated to fit what the hiring agent may be looking for. Try this and see how helpful and time-saving it will be. Good luck to each of you in your searches for the "perfect" position.

I really love this advice, Tracy - I think it's so important to make sure that you have a few different versions of your main resume so you can easily apply for different job roles based on their description. It may take more time in the beginning, but it definitely increases your odds of landing a job interview. Thanks for sharing with the community!
