Job hunting is a job
I've had many failed attempts at seeking a good fit for a job. Entry level doesn't mean entry level, especially in sales. They always want someone from the industry it seems here in Houston. I've tried very hard but I'm lacking experience. I feel if I was given a chance I'd show that I was a successful choice. I had the ones of a company not show up and drove 3 hours for an interview. That made me distracted from what my goal had been and made me upset. It's just not easy finding work when you don't want to be a waitress or work retail at a mall. Haven't given up yet. The hunt is ongoing. Good luck to you all as well.

I very much agree, and I believe that in every industry. I've worked in Manufacturing for about 9 years here in the oil and gas sector in Houston. When you say it hard to find a job I can relate, and that it's a full time it requires a lot of resources and energy itself. The way I job search is I mix it up with online searching and hitting the different agencies in my area or around the city. Also, being on the different platforms such as linked in, indeed, or monster helps but at the end of the day it's still tough. The thing I hate is that agencies will send you to meet with the client then you won't here shit back and ignore your calls or emails. Now that burns me the hell up after I drive crosstown for an interview to come to no response l. So I'm in school and I will finish my bachelors next year and grad next year. Once I have my certs thing will get better.

Honey, Sure it gets hard, but, keep the faith. Pray to God and He will open up a door of opportunity for you. These days, companies look for people with experience, so they don't have to spend the time and train you. Just stay positive. You're job now is looking for one full time whatever your situation is. You'll find one eventually, keep the faith! This is from Mike ( 61 years old ).

Job searching is definitely hard and stressful at times, but don't get discouraged. I would recommend looking into contract/temp agencies to experience and to get your foot in the door.
Rachel I live in Houston I have 30 years experience in sales and I would suggest that don't give up or get depressed. The job that you are meant to have is out there and it has your name on it. Persistence is the key to success. When you are in sales that is the only thing that matters. Believe in your self. The job that you need has your name on it. Just think what would have happened if Thomas Edison had give up after 9999 tries to make the light bulb. We would be sitting in the dark. But on the10000 try he succeeds. Don't lose hope and don't give up
