Network security isn't an easily field to get into. Having your CISSP is a huge plus for any company looking to hire you - but it is not an easy test to study for, or take. It's not cheap either.

I think your best bet is to find a company that has roles in that field, and work your way up to it. You should be upfront with your manager and let them know that you want to move into that type of role.
