You WILL ace your next interview with these steps
- Confidence. Before you even walk in the door to a new job, interview, etc, first think confidence. Being confident in yourself is key to achieving what you wish to accomplish and will definitely help the interviewer/employer have more confidence in choosing you for the position.
- Presentation. In order to present yourself in the best way, wear formal clothing - there are plenty of retail stores like Macy’s or Target that offer quality clothing for reasonable prices. First impressions are crucial when applying for jobs, and that comes from appearance. Hold your head high and dress for success!
- Knowledge. Going into an interview having researched the company will be crucial in showing interest. Ask the employer questions that demonstrate your knowledge of their work environment, programs, etc.
- Body Language. It is often uncomfortable to interview, but keeping upright posture and eye contact is key. An employer wants to see engagement and a comfort level that will allow them to trust and be confident in your abilities. Smiling is another great way to make the interviewer comfortable and will show excitement for the job. Finally, sitting with your feet on the floor is a great way to show professionalism.

Confidence is so key!! Before my last interview, I did 'power poses' which I learned about in a TED talk. It was useful to me and helped boost my confidence! This is the video.
