I think its really messed up that employers hold your past against you.when i was young i made mistakes got locked up and now that is what employers look at. .It dont matter what the truth is all they worry about is what they see or hear.I work my ass off no matter what job i have and all my co workers love me, do they see that or care about that??? No.so thats the difference between past and present. .i know ppl are going to say a bunch of stuff but please never judge noone about there past because you don't know the truth..
I'm glad u have 4 years of Bible college or seminary? Just understand that the word of God remains within the heart prompting believers to do his will until we decide to go outside of his will buy t knowledge puffs up( pride) and god hates a prideful heart as well as humble the pride of man by demotion, not promoting, unemployment for a while or a bit, losing a bit if not all what he has etc....I'm sure u get the picture. Just talk to him, praise him, repent, and ask that he increase your faith! If he didn't allow us as believers to go through something how could we testify of his love, power, and the purpose of him being the redeemer? He allows things in our lives to teach us one thing or another! Romans 8:28
Its true not to judge another based on their past cuz we all have a past and NO ONE has a perfect one! Yet, when it comes to your dilemma we have to think that we shouldve thought about times that u r currently experiencing back then. We cant fault employers for how they feel yet we can just say I messed up, repent unto god and ask him for another chance! He will do it for u if u believe in and obey him! Then u will get a job in his timing not your own! And when he gives u another chance, dont blow it nor take it for granted!
