THANKS TO EVERYONE AT JOBCASE. FOR HELPING ME KEEP MY HEAD TO THE SKY...I DONT KNOW WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE.
Yesterday, I went for an interview. If any one knows NYC, I LIVE IN THE BRONX..by the Bronx zoo.. And the interview was on 86th and Madison...it was for 2pm.. I left my house at 11.30am. just to make sure I got there on time..i had to walk the distance for I have no money. first I stopped at the church and asked to blessed enough to endure the challenge I had before me... long story short, I misjudged the time. by the time I got to 125th street it was 2pm. and the interview was at 86th and Madison. I thought to myself.. what would Jesus do. my feet never stopped moving.. I got there by 3pm.. afraid I would be turned down..i apologized for being late and explained my situation to the manager. he was moved and interviewed me anyway...I GOT HIRED!!!!!. And on another note, a worker heard my story and as I was leaving he passed me $5 and said take the train home and welcome to the team..i asked him why..he said he was once in my shoes and knows how it feels. and that I made it. better late than never. once again I'd like to thank all of you here at jobcase for helping me keep my sanity...
