I need work
My husband and I are on Social Security but do not make enough to pay all the bills. (we don't have credit card debt but are having trouble paying the mortgage, electric, insurance, car payment, etc). I thought we were prepared for retirement but we were not. I am hoping the companies that do help people here will be able to help us. Unfortunately they are closed on Fridays during the summer so I wasn't able to speak with anyone. I have never been in this position before and really don't know what to do. We live in Boynton Beach, FL. I did go to the one agency that helps but they are closed on Fridays during the summer. We do have enough food but need to pay the water and electric bill. (I have called them and I don't think they will shut the utilities off). This is the worst thing I have ever had to go through. I am a Certified Residential Appraiser but have been unable to find a job in my field (or any field). My husband is not able to work because of severe health problems. I am fortunate that my health is good and I am able to work.

Hello Janet, Thank you for being a part of our Jobcase community! I imagine that is a difficult position to be in. I feel like it must by hard to really plan everything you need once you retire. I did do a search in your area and found some part time positions I thought you might want to take a look at. I hope this is helpful!
You may want to check into reverse mortgage.
