Is it appropriate to apply for multiple positions at one company?

I am a recent grad and new to the professional job market. Some companies I am applying to have openings in multiple different positions. Some positions seem easier than others so I would like to apply/get the tougher position but would settle for an easier entry-level position. My question is would a company look negatively at the fact I'm interested in multiple positions or do they tend to not care and will look at my resume/application separately for each position?

Jess nails it yet again. Just make sure you tailor your resume to the specific position. The worst thing you can do is copy-and-paste your resume for each position.

Hi Karen, I don’t think you will look too desperate if you apply for different positions. As long as you have the qualifications then go for it. Just make sure there jobs you're truly interested in because you might be considered for one over the other.
