How?

How are you supposed to get experience as an administrative assistant if all the jobs require experience?!? So frustrating

God doesn't call the qualified ; He qualifies the called. I can promise you this what's for you is for you. I am a supervisor at a major supplier for VW, and I had no Experience. I am a production supervisor. I have a shift I run at night. I do not stress over what I don't know because God has been my teacher the entire way. It's all in time and season.

That is frustrating but another approach may work for you. Try looking for internships they can be used on your resume as experience. Call your school or training program they may have a list of possible internshops. Good luck! I know you'll find what you're looking for.

There are different levels of administrative work, and often admin assistants are seen as secretaries when in reality they have a lot more responsibility than that, hence requiring some experience. Entry level administrative titles include receptionist, front desk operator, record officer, or office assistant. Mid-level administrative titles include record officer (this one can be entry or mid, depends on the company), team secretary, admin assistant, or office manager. More experienced titles have some bleed over from mid-level depending on the company, including admin assistant, office manager, executive assistant, and personal assistant. TLDR: look for receptionist or office assistant jobs first and work your way up.

Sometimes they just say that but if no one experienced applies they will take the next best candidate which might be you! I was hired on the spot for a nursing job in psychiatry and utilization review. The job post required 3 yrs experience . A friend of mine who was a psych nurse encouraged me to apply. Bottom line. If they think you will work out you will get hired. I think you have to be very helpful. You look like a fun person and sometimes offices want fun lively people .
