Administrative
For all you job seekers, stay away from Temp. Agencies if you are serious about getting a job. They use people, lie to people and are your worst enemy if you truly want a full time position. They are only there to help the employer, not you. I have worked for many agencies while trying to find a job. Every time they say one thing and do another! They tell you temp to hire and then when it's time to get hired, they come up with excuses or say the employer decided to extend the contract. So basically, when they say contract to hire, that is false. They are full of NON Truths! So, go to a reputable site, or better yet use your network of friends, your chances will be about 100% better of actually getting a job. After 5 years of looking, I found my current position through Craigslist. The jobs listed there are real opportunities, not fake agencies promising you the world!
I think everyone’s experience with temp agencies will vary depending on the agency. I landed the job I have now through a temp agency. The job originally started as a 3 month assignment that kept getting extended then about 6 months into the assignment I approached the department manager and expressed my interest in becoming a full time employee. 1 year into the assignment I was offered a permanent role.
My recommendation would be to research the agency the same way you would research a company then work hard and smart enough to make yourself invaluable on every assignment.
