Integrity was always #1. Tought my children, that if they ever lied to me, trouble was on the way.
This is best teaching a parent can do, then they teach their kids the same and on and on...blessings.

Where would the world be without virtuoso liars? There would be no government, no religion, very little science and used cars would sit on the dealer's lot until they rusted. The lie is the most useful thing we know, second only to the opposable thumb. When Thomas Jefferson was trying to raise funds for the Lewis and Clark expedition to the Pacific coast, he wrote that he told so many different lies about his intentions that he had to keep a note book to remind himself of which lies he had told to which investors. This is a pattern we should all follow. No, not tell lies per se, but keeping a note book of our peccadillos lest we begin to believe our accomplishments are due to skill, honesty and bravery and not due to our fabulous capacity to see what we want to see and describe our fantasies rather than the reality in front of us.
