Avoid low energy days

When unemployed sometimes the motivation to wake up and attack the day can wane. It is important for maximum energy to get up early and protect the first 20 minutes of the day.

Create a start of the day activity like exercise, writing ect. This will provide a reason to get up when the alarm goes off. I love to put my first task on the alarm screen so I am reminded I have to do something and need to get up.

Once up it is proven difficult for humans to change the momentum that is created in the first 20mins of the day. You know how you get up stub your toe and all hell breaks out the rest of the day after your negative reaction. To avoid this start the day in a cocoon. Wake up before any others and set the energetic mode of your home with your favorite self investing activities.

A great piece of advice I learned a long time ago is, "Get out of bed. Now turn around and make the bed." The activity wakes you up, you're consciously telling yourself "I'm not getting back in this bed, I'm going to start my day!" and you've already started the day with one in the win column.
