Well they do go thru your entire adult criminal history, but employers aren’t supposed to consider any applicants guilty charges that were more than 7-10 years ago, (depending on what you do and where you work) and also to have nothing showing as of lately. BUT!! As I mentioned, they will go thru an applicants entire adult criminal background to make sure that any of the charges that an applicant has, whether they were 25-100 years ago, they still need to make sure that the long time ago crimes the applicants are found guilty of, would not cause concern for the company to be worried for the employees, the customer, and themselves’ safety. Also, they want to make sure the guilty charges are not for reasons to make them think you could be a liability for a law suit, or them losing substantial revenue.

Good luck, Tiffany. I know you are trying to make moves to better yourself and your life, and nothing worse when something from your past, that being 20+ years ago, still bites you in the mf ass. You seem like you’ve got pretty far in the career already, and even with your said felony. Stay positive girl. Don’t even think that an old charge is going ruin this opportunity for you. Don’t even put that thought out into the universe and stay happy/positive. Keep thinking to yourself how you do have and how excited you will be to start this new chapter in your life. Thank you so much. I just saw this response so I apologize for the delayed response. I did get the job however I am no longer there and am now with Marriott a way better option. I do appreciate your information and thank you for the postive encouragement :)
