Hello, I wanted to share my frustration and see if there are like-minded folks out there. I say that drug tests for employment should be OUTLAWED! Why? I could take opioids or heron or coke and it's out of my system in 36-48 hours. Vs THC, if a person were to use, it can last in the system anywhere from 60-90 days. This alone is discrmination against substances. Secondly, THC is now legal in some states sooo that should exclude it from tests just on principle. Third, it's basically employers dicitating to people how to manage their pain. I have two degrees and over fifteen years of management exp. I have medical issues that will allow me to take ANY opioid for pain and it's legal!! So for me, it's like the employment market is saying it's ok to be high on opioids as long as it's not pot and doesn't show up in the 3 days before your drug test. If employers are going to test for things like THC then they need to pay a 24 hour wage because that is dictating how someone should manage their pain weather it be on or off a job site location. Thoughts?

I agree, but until it's moved from States choice to Federal Law, it will not change, especially when it comes to businesses and companies who operate in multiple states where there is a difference in legalities.

No matter what you think the difference is what you can have a valid prescription for. Yes THC is legal in many states, but, employers have the Right to choose what they are willing to condone..
