Wondering if other nurses know?
I'm thinking of using an agency for a really inviting position. I'm aware the drawback is that it's from an agency. Who knows what will happen after 3-6 months. So that's a big, big concern.
My question is has an agency nurse ever been " bought out" by the facility. They always mention if your a fit they may want to buy out the contract. Does this happen?............. thank you

Hi Anne: Yes, companies do buy people out all the time. Just make sure the agency you use is to your advantage and an advocate for you. One of the two things will happen, if you are a good fit the company will buy out the contract and turn you into their full time employee. If that is not the case, they can be a great reference for you. I say go for it! Keep us updated.
I was registering for an agency and I asked that same question. I was told for the most part the company tries to wait for the contract to be up but also the agency doesn't like to lose their nurse to a buyout. Once in a while the company will buy out the contract.
